Spiritual Retreat 2003
We were in for an enlighting experience the moment we arrived at the chalet.

Upon arrival at around 4.30pm, we were allocated our rooms and proceeded to the main chalet where bhajans kicked off at 6pm sharp. It lasted for an hour, during which we learnt a few new bhajans and were immediately sucked into the spiritual mood. Bhajans ended at 7p.m, everyone had dinner and proceeded back to their respective chalets.

The next day, everyone participated actively in the game 'Win, lose or draw' hosted by Brother Nirav and Brother Arun. The participants learnt and understood more of Swami's quotes. The game required a lot of teamwork and discipline from the participating groups. It also encouraged a lot of interaction and the fusion of ideas between the young and the old as teamwork was the key to victory.

The following day, the young adults came up with a motion to debate on. 'Seva alone without daily meditation and prayer is sufficient for an individuals spiritual upliftment'. The sisters opposed the motion while the brothers defended it. It was tough competion till the end as both sides came up with brilliant points to support their stand. At the end of about an hour, the sisters emerged winners to the suprise of many.

Bro Nirav: "The key to effective learning is independent of the time spent instead it depends in how effectively you spend that time."

Bro Dinesh: "At the end of the day, it does not matter whether you win or lose. What does matter is that you have learnt something new from your failures as the old saying goes, Failure is the stepping stone to success."
