Education and culture are like the negative and the positive poles. While education caters to providing information, culture leads to the transformation.
Education is the latent treasure of mankind. It is our only friend and teacher of teachers; such education is alone worthy of worship. Students must strive to free the countrymen from their lack of spiritual education.
One may acquire a high academic qualification such as M.A., B.A., MBA and MFM and attain exalted position,
One may amass wealth, perform acts of charity and attain name and fame,
One may have physical strength and enjoy a long and healthy life,
One may be a scholar, but if he lacks human values all his achievements will prove futile.

Swami always emphasizes on the academic excellence of students alongside the education in human values. Sai Centre Katong commenced a new project to improve the academic standards of students. This was a pilot project, which started off with the Group 3 students i.e. students in Primary 5 and Primary 6.
This project is known as Project SAI i.e. Project for Student Academic Improvement. The main objective is to motivate and monitor the child's academic performance. This project is now extended from Pri-4 to Sec-4 (all subjects except mother tongue) and JC1/JC2 (only mathematics). Currently there are 22 students and 7 volunteer tutors. Most of these tutors are our own past and present SSEHV students.
This project is not strictly a tuition program. It is to complement the child's already existing tuition/special classes. To increase the effectiveness of this program, students are advised to clarify all the doubts that they might have arisen during their school lessons, or while doing assignments or in their exams. The tutors will try to explain via examples, or worksheets to clarify these doubts. Details of this SAI project are as follows:-
